What People Are Saying

“Lilian was patient, insightful and an incredible source of knowledge. It was adorable to watch his excitement when he would see her, but more Importantly she was wonderful at training me!”

— Nathan

“We got Bear from a local dog shelter a couple of months ago and although he wasn’t people or dog aggressive, he was a fearful dog and he was very hard to handle. During our first consultation, Lilian walked Bear for about 30 meters and we immediately saw our puppy start to transform and we knew Lilian was exactly what we needed. Our family is truly blessed to have Lilian come into our lives and even more so now that he has been through Blissful Paw’s training program.”

— Adrian & Hannah

“Lilian is the best dog trainer and behavior consultant I have had the pleasure of knowing. I am completely satisfied with the rigorous and meticulous training program that my dog Molly, has gone through… Lilian has also helped me answer several questions about Molly through the phone to address an odd behavior after we moved home. I would recommend her services to anyone that wants a companion, well-trained, and happy dog.”

FAQ

  • Behavioural issues are highly complex and require a different approach from the largely cognitive learning that takes place during training. Whilst behavioural treatment obviously involves training, it also involves a great deal more. In order to fully address a dog’s behavioural issues, it is vital to understand what is motivating their behaviour. It is necessary to consider the way in which emotions drive behaviour and to identify the environmental conditions that trigger those emotions. This knowledge can then be used to make adjustments that will result in a change of the dog’s emotions and, thus, a change in their behaviour too.

There is no quick-fix for behavioural issues: considering and addressing all of the significant aspects obviously takes time. Commitment and consistency from the human are required and, whilst complete rehabilitation can never be guaranteed, it is certainly possible to improve things substantially for both you and your dog.
